I've been writing since I was knee-high to a giraffe.  I don't think I could quite hold a pen when I was nose to knee with a grasshopper, but I was pretty young.  It's been my life-long dream to complete a novel.  I had so many ideas and stories that needed to be told, I didn't really have a choice, and 2011 was the year my first novel, Sin, was finished. I also have a couple of children's books, Zits'n'Bits and Rudolph Saves Christmas, and an anthology called Dark Places.

I've written many stories and poems and won competitions.  I've been published in a multitude of magazines and appeared on Sky TV debating the pros & cons of web based publishing vs. the more traditional kind, due to an online magazine I used to run - me, who produced an ezine from my home up against one of the main agents for a major literary house.  Scary!  The magazine drew international submissions and was a showcase to those who didn't want to find magazines and other publishers or actually couldn't.  If I liked it, I published it.  Simple.  As the Kindle was one of the top selling items, I think epublishing most definitely has its place in today's world and companies like Amazon and  Smashwords bring it all to life.

Well, we bring it to life, they help nurture it.

Many of my experiences and thoughts - however bizarre - are woven into Sin's meandering life, so much so he wouldn't keep quiet after his book was written.  The blog is his diary from within his asylum.  His diary is my therapy - my daily call into the void for sense where there's probably none.  But that's OK.  Who needs sense when writing can give you escape?
