Dear fellow Writers and Readers, 

I say writers, for those of us who aren't published and who long to be. Although for most of us, the desire to be published has less to do with showing to those who doubted us that we could- but more to do with proving to ourselves that we could make it. That we didn’t make a mistake with this crazy illusive dream, that we chose right to follow this burning part of us to create.  

True writers know that what we do isn’t a job. We don’t do it for the money or to pass the time. We do this because we don’t have a choice, this itching in our fingers to write; to create a world hidden within ink adored paper is a need. To use these brilliant imaginations we’ve been given to create an escape for millions. 

We’re not entirely right in the head, we view the world differently, have a slanted view on what others perceive has normal. Us, in ourselves aren’t exactly ‘normal’ either, we appear a little odd, a tiny bit different but most of you are absolutely brilliant. 

The way we view the world is through the analysing and categorising ways of a researcher. We pick apart our surroundings, filing everything away for later use. The way things taste, smell and feel are thing’s we’re constantly taking note of, for the characters whose story we’re creating. 

Writing is the way we cope, so I ask that you don't stop writing even if you don't get published.

Even if someone doesn’t connect with your piece, keep writing because someone will. They’ll connect with the paragraphs you’ve created and you could change their story. Keep writing because it’s a part of who you are. It’s a piece of you that someone has no right to judge.

Keep writing your stories; you amazingly gifted writers. Because it’s you who will create the door way for another reader, and who will inspire another budding writer. Your writing could set someone free.
