Raquel Byrnes

Hello, my name is Raquel Byrnes and I write scifi mystery and suspense with a bit of romance. 

I love staying up late to watch meteor showers, binging on science fiction movies, and drinking coffee (like...a lot of coffee). 

About me: I was a black lace wearing, sad poetry writing, Mary Shelly reading, goth girl in high school and most of my tastes have  not wandered too far from there since. I still write stories and I still  love to read almost anything.  I prefer scifi mystery, Gothic romance, and suspense of all kinds.

I am a vegan and have been for seven years. I live in sunny southern California and so, I spend most of my time avoiding either the sun or the fires here, but I love it.

My favorite authors are: Mary Shelly, Richard Matheson, Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, Victoria Holt,  Shirley Jackson, and Philip K. Dick.
