“I began making up stories before I could write. I used to lay in bed at night telling them to myself. I became a bit self conscious and started to worry that people might overhear me, so I stopped telling them out loud – then, later on, I learned to write and began to put them on paper.

Nothing else has changed much. I’m now 57. I’ve been a seaman, a stores man, a petrol pump attendant, a janitor, a missionary, and an Admin. Assistant. Now I’m a CSI, a husband, a father, and a dog owner – but I am still, and always have been, a story teller!

Doesn’t look like I’ll ever get over it.”
