Hey, my name's Hannah and I write :)

Right now I'm trying to focus on writing as a career and getting published, so most the unfinished works you'll see on here are short stories; with the exception of "Pocket Full of Posies"

So, a little about me! I'm nineteen and a freshman in college, working my way up to that beloved English Major. I live in a big family of seven, with five brothers and we live on a farm. I hope y'all will forgive my sporatic updates. Eventually, I will get a handle on this college thing!

So this is in no way gonna be ready before Friday (finals and all that) but to make up for my lack of activity, here's a look at chapter nine of PFoP:

"I could describe the rest of the house but, quite frankly, there were too many bodies covering every surface of the place. What things I made have taken inventory on—vases, family photos—I couldn’t make out in the mass of people.
So I gave up trying to memorize every crevice and gave into the party atmosphere.
Liss seemed to be feeling the same thing. She looked at me in a sort of disappointed way, shrugging. “I guess we should find your friends?” she suggested above the loud music.
I nodded, even though they weren’t my friends.
We made our way through the mass slowly, careful of the flailing limbs of enthusiastic dancers and wildly gesturing story tellers."

"Atonement" fans, I didn't forget about you! Here's a snippet from chapter two:

"
One week. One week in the past and I looked like an abused child. Seriously, it was like I’d just been kicked off Survivor or something—only I had it worse than them because at least they could wear normal clothes.
When I finally pulled myself away from the heavenly bathroom, I found Russ and Mom waiting for me. Mom sat in a chair, one leg crossed daintily over the other. Uh-oh. She had her psychiatrist composure. Nothing good ever came with that too-calm look on her face.
Warily, I looked to where Zach had stationed himself on the bed; headphones purposefully on blasting. He, clearly, was not a part of this discussion.
“Sit down, Josie,” Mom instructed, gesturing to the seat next to her.
I plopped down on the seat, absent mindedly curling my hands beneath my knees as if to straighten a skirt. Yeah; as if my jeans needed to be properly straightened. One week. How could one week do this to a person? Already I felt out of place in this too clean, too brightly lit motel room—and it was really saying something when a motel room looked too clean."

Anyway, that's so righteous! (I'm trying to bring this saying back into fashion; join me?) Seriously, though; ode to the days our name wasn't popular. Suddenly Hannah Montanna pops up and BAM! Hannahs appear from nowhere! As one Hannah to the other, I sympathize with all the times you were likely called Hannah Montanna. Blessed was the day that abomination ended, am I right?
