Michael Lista is the author of Bloom, published by the House of Anansi. He is the poetry columnist for The National Post and the poetry editor of The Walrus. Poems from his forthcoming book The Scarborough have appeared in Poetry magazine and The Best Canadian Poetry. He lives in Toronto.

It is such a great honor to have such impeccable judges to make the final decision for such great books. It has always been a dream of mine since I had written my first book at age five to have one published and to be acknowledged for such excellence for something so beautiful and amazing being just words that are put together to make the most amazing stories. I truly hope that I can reach that potential this year with you judges but also with the world. My books are the Romanced series. I am working on book one right now. When finished, I plan on mailing it to book publishing companies. But for now, I am sharing it virtually. It would be such a great honor if you could fan me. Thank you, Respectfully, L.A. Bettis
