"The taste of death is upon my lips; I feel something that is not of this earth."
– Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, last words
Michael Scinto, at your service.
I've been writing since I was in 8th grade, though I've only been doing it decently for a few years.
I write mostly fantasy and scifi, though I've been going through somewhat of an authorial "dry-spell" lately.
I hope to find a project that engages me enough to reinvigorate my writing, but until that day comes, updates will be scarce.
I have no "current projects". The Book of Ruin was my old one, but it's been put on indefinite hold while I begin writing the final draft (see, the one I have published is version 2 out of 3). I will upload the newest edition eventually, but not until I've completed at least three of the book's five parts, so as to have a buffer.
My influences range from myths such as Beowulf, Gilgamesh and the Nibelungenlied–to classic authors like Mark Twain, Grant's Memoirs, Poe, Tolstoy, Dostoevsky–to more contemporary works, like the Wheel of Time, Stormlight Archive, Codex Alera, and Sandman .
I like to write. I like to create things–more accurately. I hope I can create a world that you will enjoy too.
As for some trivial stuff? I love Doctor Who, my favorite games are the Total War series, I play an embarrassing amount of Magic: the Gathering, and I frequent a timesink called reddit far too often.
