Melanie A. Johnson

I am really excited this year since I am finally able to start teaching on my own! I work at a middle school and I teach Career Pathways, Financial Literacy, and also Informational Media. It's definitely the beginning of a great year! I am hoping that if things go well I will be given a permanent contract and I could start a writing club for the new school year. The world needs more excellent writers to give us fantastic books. 

Current favorite books: The Percy Jackson books, Dan Well's books, The Fallen series, Harry Potter series, The Dresden Files, The Goddess Books by P.C. Cast, Cirque Du Freak series, and there are so many more novels that I can't think of.

Inspiration: I have to say that my inspiration from writing actually came from my 6th grade middle school teacher. He was a bit quirky but he brought books to life when he read and he encouraged us to always continue to write. Eventually I want to be an English teacher similar to him. 

Friends: I have quite a few friends including Amanda, Beth, Debbie, James, Heather, and so many other supportive people. I feel proud to claim them as my friends.
