I write as a hobby but in the last 5 years most of my time has been taken up as a care giver to elderly friend and family members so I haven't had the time to develop the amazing stories that I have running around in my head.  I believe that to know where we are going we must first understand where we have been and it is that belief that makes me love history, the older the better.

I'm always in search of a good clean read and hope one day to be able to write one.

Until recently I have been interested mainly in the history of England, Ireland and Wales. Have spent time in Wales and even learned a little of the language, enough to order breakfast in Southern Wales. About 6 months ago I discovered Indian Cinema and have been driving my family crazy with Indian movies and music. We would be eating Indian food daily but some members have prejudiced palates. I will content myself with introducing myself to them in Hindi every day until I can learn to say something else.

I have been dubbed an incurable Anglophile, I would protest but the kettle is boiling and nothing gets in the way of a good cup of tea. After numerous trips to England, Wales and Ireland, I decided I could live quite happily there, some day. Alas, my family doesn't agree.
