I serve a dark, contentious muse. Don't blame me for being a genre bender: I can only write while she's asleep, so my work grows darker and--at times--it's filled with noir themes. I also write fantasy and SF, and I'm adding mainstream fiction. It get's worse: I'm easily provoked by my muse to write poetry. My favorite forms are the sonnet, gazal, and villanelle.

Jump the Line. It's 1st in my "Toein' The Line" series. Twenty-one year old Alaina Colby's majoring in criminology and paying her way through college as an exotic dancer. Okay, a stripper. When her coworkers show up dead, Alaina mixes it up with the campus serial killer, whose friendship is uglier than his bite, but she helps the homicide cop in charge bring him down. It's edgy, written in first person, and leans heavily on the CSI aspects of odontology.

Get in Line. 2nd in my Toein' the Line series. Alaina's graduated, she's a newbie with the FBI, and learning about a killer who thinks murder is performance art. Through testing, she learns of her special talent as an empath, good for helping sleuth criminals--bad when she actually finds them.

The Confessor's Burden. Historical novel set in two periods: today and 1,000 years ago in medieval England. Lora Godwin suffers from multiple personality disorder. An off-Broadway stage manager, she escapes into the world and characters of her play about the eleventh century world of Edward the Confessor.
