I write romance (paranormal, fantasy, sci-fi) for adults & young adults. I'm a Kiwi, a New Zealander, and I'm addicted to chocolate--the darker the better. A romance writer who likes chocolate.... Yep. I am a total cliche *g*. Some of my favorite authors are: Rachel Caine, Melissa Marr, Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, Lilith Saintcrow, Nalini Singh, Angela Knight, Meljean Brook, Sarina Bowen--too many to list!

My first novel for young adults, FREAKS OF GREENFIELD HIGH, features a teenage cyborg who's evolving, and experiencing human emotions for the first time. FREAKS has won an award or two, and was "discovered" here on Wattpad and optioned for TV by Cream Drama, Inc. FREAKS is currently available for you to read here on Wattpad, along with 2 more of my published books: THE CRYSTAL WARRIOR (paranormal romance), and SEER'S HOPE (epic fantasy with romantic elements). Hope you enjoy them!

Oh, don't worry about chapter lengths. They don't have to be any particular length or anything unless you're writing a serial that you want to publish in parts (in which case it might be best to try and make each part a similar word count). But for a full-length novel, it's perfectly fine to vary the lengths of chapters. The most important thing is to end it on some kind of a hook that keeps readers interested :) I used to be a little hung up on chapter lengths, but nowadays mine are all over the place O.O

*blinks* I'm not sure exactly what you're asking here but I'll try to answer. The prologue is 303 words, and the first chapter is 755 words. (I bundled them together on Wattpad because the prologue is so short.) If you're wanting to know the word lengths of ALL the chapters in this book, obviously they will all be different lengths: I end chapters where it's logical for the story I'm writing, not because I'm trying to hit a specific word count for each chapter. And the total length of this book is a little over 79,000 words. (Note that the full story was taken down a few weeks ago, so there's now only an excerpt available.) Hope that answers your question?

Thanks! But I can only do it because I'm lucky enough to have a very supportive, understanding husband who works full time (and who also designs all my indie book covers and does the electronic formatting, so I don't have the additional outlay of paying cover designers and formatters). It's only fairly recently I've earned enough to help out with bills and the mortgage. (Yes, my long-suffering husband is up for sainthood, LOL)

Right, now I got ya :D

Nope, I've never put the full of Freaks in the City on Wattpad... because then no one would bother buying it. I have three full books here already (it was 4 until a week ago, actually). But I can't put all my books up here because I kinda have to sell books to earn royalties so I can pay my bills. Sucks but that's life :(

Hey, thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. But this is an excerpt of Book 2, not Book 1. The full book of Freaks of Greenfield High is still up on Wattpad - I've never taken it done since it was still posted :) So you can still read it here (or download a free copy of the eBook copy from one of the places it's free like Smashwords, B&N, Kobo, Amazon (most stores but not all), Google Play, All Romance eBooks *g*)
Finally! The print proof of Freaks in the City arrived yesterday (original got lost in transit). And it's soooo pretty!!!
