Madeline Sloane, a full-time writer and part-time college instructor, lives in the highlands of Pennsylvania with her husband, writer Joshua Sloane. Her educational background includes degrees in communication and anthropology, and she is a professional archaeologist. After publishing several history books, she segued into fiction as an independent author. In addition to “Consequence,” her booklist includes “Distracted,” “East of Eaton” and “West Wind.” Her books are available in print and digital format at all major booksellers. Upcoming novels in the “Secrets of Eaton” series are “Incandescent” and “Dead Line.” Many of her novels incorporate her passion for travel, sailing, history and archaeology. Most of her characters hail from Eaton, an imaginary locale in Pennsylvania she invented, but not all: some stories feature exciting and exotic cities the heroes (and their lovers) visit during the course of their romantic journey. Sloane and her husband enjoy traveling to the U.K. and Europe, and spend much of their time abroad in ruins, castles, cathedrals and museums. She particularly enjoys exploring old churches (including the crypts with mummies), musty libraries and authentic pubs. In the U.S., the Sloanes bounce along the East Coast, traveling from New York to Florida to visit family and friends. The couple enjoys camping, hiking and kayaking, and always includes a geocache hunt and a trip to the local ice cream parlor.

@MadelineSloane Yes! Another one of your stories to make the list of my favourites! You're an amazing writer, have you ever been offered to publish your ebooks for a fixed price in paperback form?
@taliciaem Glad you think so. I hope you enjoy it. It's been getting some nice comments here on Wattpad.
@Nongraceful I've been waiting to reply about my new book because I'm considering how to wrap up my editing. The new book is called "Incandescent," and I'm nearly done. I will invite my Wattpad friends to preview it soon. I hope you'll enjoy it.
Distracted sounds interesting! I think i'mma give it a read! :D http://oi47.tinypic.com/e8n048.jpg
Any new reads.coming out soon written by you?
@kuzaluv By the way, I mentioned your note to my husband and reminded him a trip to the Pacific Northwest has been on our To Do list. If we make it that far, I'll be sure to check out landmarks you've suggested. I did go to the original Stonehenge. Sigh, kind a disappointment because they've roped off the site to protect it. Went to New Grange in Ireland, also, and got to go inside the day after the winter solstice. It is my favorite prehistoric place in the world, now, and is older than the pyramids.
@LuckyNumber888@dunshee4365 Thanks for connecting with me, and I hope you'll check out West Wind. It's also here on Wattpad :)
Loving Distracted! I will be reading the rest of your books ASAP!
Just found Distracted on another WattPad writer's list of Favorites. First chapter and I'm hooked (line, sinker, and bait) I know you're gonna be another of my Pash's as the kids say these days. Live in Washington State, not the other; District of Columbia, however, right on the Columbia River where Lewis & Clark met Sacajawea. You and Joshua ever wanna hit the Northwest, call on me and my spouse of 32 years to show you what hiking, boating, the great Maryhill Museum and Stonehenge next door are all about. Cheers girlfriend, Kristi.
@MadelineSloane I would just like to say Distracted was like the first book I read on Wattpad and that's the main thing that encouraged me to keep reading! It's such an amazing book and you are a very talented author. xx
