Hello Kenneth :) To answer your question, (Thank you so much for reading Freezer Burn by the way, I'm glad you liked it :D) they can take her out of the pod because they don't need to read the words. They press a button, and machines do it for them. The fact that her card was blank, not written on at all, was the reason they thawed her. They can recognize writing, just not read it. I'd be happy to take a look at your piece :) ~Brie
