I'm a writer who loves reading and writing. I've published fourteen novels and four short stories and counting. I'm a mom (my children are all grown...ish) and hope to soon be a proud Granny since my daughter just got married and wants to start a family ASAP. 

I love history, science, and I just recently got in touch with my inner traveler when my husband and I drove across the country to our daughter's wedding. We took the slow roads, didn't plan much, and stopped when the urge took us. We took a lot of (mostly unfocused) pictures and sampled the beauty of the U.S. midwest and west. We can't wait to do it again, maybe even next summer. Different states (never got to Arizona, Texas, Oregon, Washington, North Dakota... this country is huge).

I have a special fondness for anything that helps promote literacy, as my youngest has struggled with dyslexia all his life. I am a reading tutor at the Bangor Dyslexia Center, and my middle son and I created a (free) game for Apple iTunes called Magnispies to help those with reading disabilities have some fun practicing recognizing the short vowel in one-syllable words. We hope to do more of that in the coming years, when we both have more time.
