I have enjoyed success as an award-winning mental health writer, but over the last two years I have focused on writing a comic science fiction novel, titled: BARKLEY BOHNER, CELEBRITY PHILOSOPHER. 

Science fiction, Bradbury said, is the fiction of ideas. I love Vonnegut and Douglas Adams, but I can also include Mark Twain and Voltaire and Swift. Perhaps even Shakespeare. Real-world settings weren’t big enough for their ideas. All of them had to stretch time and space to create breathing room.

Plus they played with their food. As well as making me think, my literary heroes made me laugh. Enough said.
