FYI, from my own experience, publishers aren't actively looking for many new writers, and when they do become interested it's usually because they bring something different to the table, like pre-existing fans/buzz. The nice thing about Wattpad is that you can take down any/all of your chapters any time you need to. Posting your entire story here doesn't actually hurt your chances, as Abigail Gibbs proved recently. One might argue that her 17 million reads on here was the primary reason she was signed by Harper Collins in the first place.

Hey guys, So I'm writing to tell you that I don't have an update for you of any kind and that I probably won't have another one for Midnight Blue any time soon, if ever. I'm really sorry about this, but after quite a few conversations with people about trying to get published I've come to the conclusion that it would be a bad idea to post too much more on here. Just to clarify: I'm not getting published, but I want to keep my options open so yeah. As well as telling you this, I also wanted to give you all a hint of how the following chapter with Scarlett and Ty would go, and I was scrolling through my i-tunes library when I found this song which I think is absolutely perfect for the chapter, so here's the link and hopefully it's enough to give you guys hope. Sorry to be so disappointing. I know how frustrating this must be and I wish I could give you different news, but I won't promise anything. Hey guys! It's been a while since I last sent out a mass message, but I was just giving the newly edited chapter of Blood Red a quick proof read when I came across a line I thought sums up Scarlett and Ty's relationship at this stage in the story pretty well. It wasn't in the original so I thought I'd share it. The upload will be available soon, meaning tonight, so consider this a teaser, but anyway, here it is... =) 'I felt like he spoke in code half the time and the other half he was insulting me.' --Brooklyn =)

I read The Rebellion before, and I just have to read it again. It's a really good... Novel? Don't really know what to call it. But keep on writing, and don't ever give up!

@kselby88 Hi! I guess I should probably say welcome to Wattpad =D Thanks so much for the message and the comments! I saw them all this morning when I woke up and they basically made my day before it even began. I'm so glad you like it! I'm just sorry that I haven't really been updating it because I'm editing/rewriting it so that I can try and get it published eventually, but if it makes you feel any better hopefully you *will* be able to have it on your shelf some day =D Again, thanks so much! Side note: I'm not sure if you check your emails so I'm going to post this on your wall as well. Hi, I've only just read Blood Red on here (new to wattpad) and I was trying to leave comments but I'm looking on my phone so it doesn't work properly. I just wanted to say what an absolutely fantastic read it was. I was completely pulled into the story and I couldn't stop reading it (read it all in one sitting). If this was a book on sale it would be on my shelf and in the 'to read often' category. That being said I will be adding it to my library on here and reading it again and again. I will be reading the next in the series and I'm so excited. -Kathy :):)

@the_booky_bookworm Thanks! We don't have year level captains, just house captains (Two for each house) and school captains (a boy and a girl) =) I can try, but I don't want to make any promises. Sorry =S But, hint, hint, there's a REALLY good reason for why I'm spending so much time on Blood Red at the moment...
