Freshman Fifteens

What happens when a small group of young adult authors debuting in 2015 gets together? Words fly. Friendships form. War stories are shared. And a mission is born.

A mission to give back to the community that inspires us: teens.

We are writers, but first we are readers. We grew up devouring books. We still do. With a flip of a page we can be queens, warriors, wizards. One crack of a spine and we can have our first kiss, first love, first loss. The power of the written word to transport us to another time, another place, another life hooked us as readers and made our dreams come true as writers.

That our first books will be publishing in 2015 drew us together initially, but our passion for sharing our love of books with the community we write about and for is what led us to form the Freshman Fifteens.

Oh, and here’s a couple of fun facts: 

1. The average hardcover weighs about a pound. With our debut books in 2015, we aim to be the freshman fifteen you don’t mind packing on!
