Due to lack of activity on everyone's part (including my own), I feel it's necessary to put my group story The Lost Prince on hold for a while. I reserve the right to attempt to restart or continue it, so while dormant, it's not yet dead. Thank you to all who participated. Even though not much was accomplished, exploring deeper depths of the characters who were only vaguely conceived before was quite fun and valuable to me. If I feature these characters as they've been developed, I will provide due credit to everyone directly involved in putting more flesh on their bones.
After Hatch goes off on his own to meet up with his helpful lady friend, and Gesene is leading everyone to her own contact's place, Galloway catches up to Gesene and tells her, "I've retrieved the sword Magister, and left it safe in your home. However, there was a bit of a complication: It seems the sword is bonded by a powerful enchantment to a young human boy, and could not be taken from him. Naturally, we retrieved this boy as well, and he is sleeping soundly with Magister in one of our guest beds." Galloway suddenly stops. "I should go back and ensure the boy remains comfortable and safe. Good luck." He turns and goes back to the Stradicoach.
Move is completed, and I have my internets back! Galloway and Leandre managed to retrieve Magister, though there's a bit of a complication with that. I'll let them tell you what happened when they catch up to the group.
Private RP going on with Leandre and Galloway. Seems they're having trouble retrieving Aladavan's sword, Magister. Meanwhile, the rest of you are in the rain, between Hatch and his bevy of local lady friends, and Gesene's high-ranking contact, you might all get into the palace, but not all of you can get into the banquet. And you're all getting soaked as you decide. Grano, being a man of nature, might have the mystical power (even though no one's ever seen him do anything really magical) to shield everyone from the rain, but he seems to be enjoying it. Sylvaniir, being a member of the Gosam cult, can call on his power (or her own, or both) to shield everyone from the rain, which might be considered her job. Except she doesn't mind the rain either, also being a creature born of wild nature. Egestus might be able to use his Barrier spell to block the rain, but he doesn't seem to care about himself or anyone else getting soaked. He's starting to smell worse than he usually does. He does restore his precious bits under his apron to their normal size, and kindly does the same for Cheron. Which leaves Vaash, the combat mage, who can also use the Barrier spell to block the rain, except that such mundane use of combat magic is beneath Vaash's dignity. Gesene usually has interesting magical trinkets that are very handy, except they are usually conjured to her from her home by Galloway, who's not here at the moment. Hatch remembers that he has a lady friend who lives in a nice mansion on the edge of the park not too far away, but she probably wouldn't be too happy to host all of his friends while he "talks" to her about getting him into the banquet--and dry clothes. Gesene's noble gentleman is similarly intolerant of such ruffians as she often has to work with, but might be willing to do something for the rest of you, for a price.
Lost Prince group story participants. We continue playing here!
@RNMurray That sounds pretty cool. Is it here on wattpad, or elsewhere?
Starting tomorrow, my internet presence will be spotty at best. I'm moving to a new apartment, and I'm not sure I'll be connected up there. I'll try to keep up with Lost Prince and everything else, using free WiFi or whatever I can find, but I make no promises right now.
I was inspired by Cerberon, and created a horse for my story...He's a mechanical sentient being, a little misanthropic. But what do you expect from a old warhorse who is the only one of his kind.
