I Remember

I sit here in bed,

With my knees pulled up to my chin.

Tears running down my face,

As I remember the sin.

 

I still remember the lust.

Still feel the cuts.

The blood pouring down.

Red puddles on the ground.

 

As the blood mixes with tears,

I remember lost years.

Of songs left unsung,

And things left undone.

 

I remember the pain.

The shame and the blame.

The feeling I had,

That are still left the same.

 

The last thing I want to remember,

But refuse to forget.

Are the painful memories I've had,

Since you left.

 

I remember all this,

And everything that you do.

But most of all,

I remember you.
