I'm a 21-year-old bookworm, daydreamer and soon-to-be-published author from Birmingham, UK, currently studying English Literature with Creative Writing at Lancaster University. When I'm not reading voraciously, studying, or taking every opportunity to travel, I can be found in front of my writing desk.

'Darkness Watching' is a YA supernatural fantasy novel, the fourth novel I've completed, and the first in a planned 5-book series, the Darkworld Series. I'd be grateful for any feedback I can get, and I always value honesty!

Having aspired to be a writer since the age of ten, I've worked on various novels and short stories over the years, finally publishing my first short story in Inkapture magazine earlier this year - 'Wedlock', a rather bleak dystopian piece. My first novel The Puppet Spell is a fantasy tale for children, young adults and the young at heart. It will be published as an e-book by Rowanvale Publishers later this year! In the meantime, you can check out the book on Authonomy here: http://www.authonomy.com/books/43342/...

I enjoy Japanese anime and manga (especially D.Gray-Man, which I maintain has one of the most original storylines I've ever read), and my favourite authors as a child were J.K. Rowling, Jacqueline Wilson and Diana Wynne Jones. Since then my range has expanded to include Tolkien, Neil Gaiman, Garth Nix, Derek Landy, Cassandra Clare, Cornelia Funke, Trudi Canavan, Terry Pratchett, Suzanne Collins, and many more! As for the classics, I read a lot of Shakespeare, Milton and Dante, and am a fan of Byron, Shelley and Keats. Generally, I read more fantasy than any other genre, though I also like good dystopian novels and sometimes sci-fi.

This is great - original, funny, and well-written too. I love this kind of humour. Awesome stuff!
