Hi Janet, It would really depend which genre and age group you're writing for. AgentQuery, QueryTracker (full disclosure: I'm on the QueryTracker blog team), and Duotrope are all good places to look. I'd also check the different publishers on Editors and Preditors--they're a watchdog group. I hope that helps, and I apologize for the delay in responding. :)

I see that you are a young writer. I am an old writer myself. I have published one novel and forty short stories. But as I am from the Middle East, Jordan, and my subject are mostly from the country I live in, I find difficulty in finding publishers who will be interested in the lives of the people from our part of the world. Advise me if you know any small publishers who will interested in subjects which revolve around my people.
