I am a writer and editor with 25 years experience. Originally, I trained as a journalist in high school and college and was working as a professional copyeditor by 18 and as a copyeditor for Hitachi at 19. The last two decades I've spent writing/editing for publications (XFiles, SciFiMall.com), software companies (Microsoft, PowerData), and corporations (Airborne Express/DHL, Hitachi). Now I'm focused on my fiction and teaching. I've published 2 writing/editing ebooks on Amazon for Kindle (The Editor Devil's Guide to CHARACTERS and to DIALOGUE). Also, I'm editing a WWII novel and publishing my Romantic Suspense, An Eye For Danger, for which I'm also writing book 2. We won't talk about the many other manuscripts waiting for me to edit them into publication! I also spent the last 7 years working rehabing dogs for behavior problems. I love gardeing, cooking and sailing. Thank God I live in the Northwest, where those are all popular!

@Pirches_x@kimhornsby@AdeleOldham Thanks for all you input! I just thought "An Ear...." might sound dumb, but I can keep that title if it's working for you. "A Taste...." implies that she's learning this is a world where everyone lies, so she might as well get good at it. Also, Sam goes through some feeling about her changes. He wants to help her get stronger, but he doesn't really like the idea of her being a killer. So the title implies more tension that fits the story. But here's the problem with "A Taste..." -- the 3rd book will definitely be titled "A Thirst For Vengeance". So Taste/Thirst might be too close in meaning. Anyway, will there be a book 4? Don't think so. But 2 & 3 will both be big books, like book 1, so frankly, it's like 6 books in 3!!! What a bargain :)

@ChristineFairchild Can't wait to read the new chapters! Probably will have to wait till after my exams (which saddens me more than it should xD), but I'm so excited to see you put more up! Hmm. I don't know- I like either. With 'an ear' I kind of get the impression that they're hearing the lies, and that's about it.. Like what@kimhornsby said. But then somehow 'taste' makes it a bit more involved, and suits the story line better considering how even the good guys (*sigh* Sam) lie, so everyone has had a taste for it. Now I'm thinking about it, I like 'A Taste for lies' better, purely because I know a bit more about the plot now, and 'tasting' lies seems to be a common theme. AH, can't wait to read the chapters- I may have said that before, but I really can't. I also can't wait for more! :D

I like it. Taste implies they are kind of hooked on lying. Ear sounds like they are listening for lies.

Considering changing book 2's title from "An Ear for Lies", which is a journalist phrase, to "A TASTE for Lies". Readers, what do you think???
