Though it says I have been on Wattpad since 2012, I have just recently started actually using it now that I have a completed novel I am beginning to upload.

Writing, to me, is a way to say something about society, whether implicitly or explicitly. Even those stories and plot lines that don't seem like they have an apparent critique, can. While "Fledgling" just seems like a murderous, violent idea, it says something. While I outlined and pre-wrote, it wasn't apparent to me, but as I got further along in the drafting stage, I realized just what exactly it was that it said. From that point on, I made it my job to cater to that statement... to let it keep driving home the point I am trying to make... to make it last with the reader.

Sometimes it isn't the writer's intention to have a critique, but people, based on their backgrounds, can find one. Sometimes the writer intends to make a critique and the reader finds something completely different or not at all. Writing and reading are objective and always will be, and it is my job to cater to that, to make a story that both says something to some readers and provides enjoyment to others. Some people write for money, some for fame, and others for fun. I write to say something, to critique something, to speak.
