Wow, I guess I'm committing to Wattpad, since I'm filling out my 'about me' page. Let's see- what makes my writing really unique is I LOVE action/adventure and my specialty is making up previously unheard-of extreme sports in my books. Ever gone cliff-diving on a bicycle while dressed in a tutu? Tried the ancient volcano sledding game of Hawaiian kings? Surfed down a lava tube?

Another quality that makes my writing different is I love to compose, and I've written several original songs for "Orchids on O'ahu", in which Pano becomes a local rock star. 

I 'see' all of my characters in my head, just like a movie, and I feel the pain of their losses and the joys of their triumphs. A part of me expects to meet Leilani Lea on Hawaii someday, that's how real she's become to me . . . and I wonder if she will end up with Chad or Pano?

I also love poetry, both reading and writing it. I don't care that it's not the most popular genre- I can't live without it. Only poetry contains the essence of all truth for me, and I have been known to cry when I read a really beautiful piece. I've posted a few of my poems about the Native American experience from my chapbook, "I Have Spoken". I'm blond and blue-eyed, but I have a higher blood quantum than most Native Americans, even Lou Diamond Phillips, lol (btw I am such a fan of his!) and I wrote the poems to honor my grandmother. 

My goals for the future are to always keep pushing my writing to get faster, better, stronger, cleaner and to try my hand at different genres. I won't stop until I write a book with characters that become part of your life, one that keeps you up all night and you can't stop thinking about long after you've read the final page.
