About

Hi! Aside from checking to see how old inkpop friends are doing, I'm rarely on here. If anyone wants to get in touch and catch up, check out the links at the bottom.

A little more about me:

My debut novel UNDER THE TREES is being published in 2014 from Cliffhanger Press, LLC!

I'm a former Content and Line Editor.

I recently graduated with an English degree.

I write primarily MG and YA. Those who knew me on inkpop might remember UNDER THE TREES and SEER. After jumping from one WIP to another way too many times, I'm currently trying to decide what I want to work on next.

Writing query letters is the bane of my existence, but I love critiquing them.

I have the best critique partners in the world and wouldn't be where I am today without them.

I have to snack while I write or edit. Beef jerky and gobstoppers are my go-to snacks of choice. I also have to have something to drink, usually sweet tea or water.

I'm married to my high school sweetheart. We have the cutest little girl in the world. Seriously, she's adorable.

My heart is forever divided between fairy tale retellings and Regency era novels. Not surprisingly, my favorite book is PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, and my favorite TV show is Once Upon a Time. NOTE: If you have a retelling or a Regency-inspired novel, message me with the pitch. I might check it out and give you a free read.

Not open to critiquing at the moment, unless your work falls under the exceptions I already mentioned. But I love hearing what old inkies are working on. Stay in touch and keep me updated :-)

Natalie! I was going through my inbox and saw the notification that you dedicated something to me, and it totally made my day! Thank you! :-) Also, I love this. You captured that feeling of a good cry (I do know what you mean) perfectly. Beautiful writing!
