I am an author and ghostwriter, (see http://www.andrewcrofts.com/ ), who has worked with a huge number of stars and celebrities just like the characters in two of my books, Steffi McBride and Maggie de Beer. Some achieved "overnight fame" like Steffi, becoming darlings of the media and the general public, others had to struggle like Maggie, exploited by everyone they come into contact with.

Steffi was originally created as a vehicle for one of my daughters, Olivia Grodd, who was training as an actress at the time in London, and can be seen talking as Steffi both on Wattpad and on YouTube. Another of my daughters, Jess Crofts, is the cover girl for Maggie.

"The Overnight Fame of Steffi McBride" is the story of a 21st Century girl who had all her dreams come true, until the secrets start to emerge. "The Fabulous Dreams of Maggie de Beer" is the story of fifteen year-old Maggie, who arrives in London in 1970 on the run from her humdrum suburban life, determined to make it big in show business. Maggie and Steffi also share a terrible secret,  although not even Steffi knows that to begin with.

"Secrets of The Italian Gardener" is a fictionalised version of what my life is sometimes like as a ghostwriter.
