Amanda Nuri Rahaman

The first seed for my love of reading came from my 3rd grade teacher. She first read aloud "Inkheart" to us, and then promptly carried on to the world of "Gregor the Overlander". From the years ever since then I've been reading. But by fifth grade I had begun writing my own short stories. I'm now currently a junior and 17-years-old. My love for writing is shared with a love for acting. Likewise, I've participated in 9 musicals and more than 20 local performances for both singing and dancing. I've also been featured in films for my youth, writing career, and love for reading and acting. Furthermore, I won a scholarship from the Chandler-Gilbert Community College for Creative Writing my freshmen year, and have published some of my works in places like 22 Across and Teen Ink.

God is and still continues to be my inspiration. I'm currently working on the sequel to "Emerald Butterfly" ("Sapphire Dragonfly") and another novel titled "Sweet Falcon".
