When cute, playful, and also quite openly gay Kanon Amador finds an old book hidden in the grass of an alley while walking home from school, he takes it home. Little does he know, the contents inside the book were real, and not some fake witch craft giving the power of looking like an idiot.
Battler, the highest ranked servant in all of Hell, is the demon Kanon accidentally summoned. Because of this, it now leaves him in charge of protecting over his new master. The dangers they face together seem never ending, from trances to numerous accounts of other demons trying to get involved to being possessed. Soon enough Kanon finds himself falling for this pawn of Hell. But could Battler ever feel the same way? He doesn't even know himself, only feeling love once before, which ended terribly due to a treacherous act of betrayal. But Kanon is now his priority in the mortal world, on this odd place called Earth. To get the soul promised after being his slave, Battler must obey Kanon's every command.
