The Exodus of the Elves
In the world of the past, when greedy men slayed defenseless dragons, when dwarves constantly battled goblins, when merpeople were confined to their underwater realm, the elves, the only beholders of magic, were the most powerful race on the face of the earth. Astrild, an elven scientist obsessed with the study of magic, finally discovered how to share magic. And yet, thousands of years later, all the elves disappear from the face of the earth.
It is 2011, and a girl named Melissa discovers that she is a half-elf, one of the few beings that still have elven blood. She finds a journal growing on a tree; it belonged to Astrild. To her, its nothing...yet. To the criminal masterminds of the "mythical" community, its priceless, a legend even to the wizards. According to legend, the journal holds the secret of how the elves left, where they went to, and why they left. Finding an ancient document like that would bring riches beyond anyone's dream. So when the people most dear to Melissa are kidnapped by a villain who only wants the journal, Melissa must make a risky rescue while not losing the journal. But even with the help a few new-found friends, will they be enough to stop the powerful kidnapper?
