Mikayla and her dysfunctional family go up to Maine to visit her mother's best friend and her husband. Although they've known each other for her life, Mikayla and Mitch discover they have feelings for each other and decide to be together. When Mikayla becomes pregnant with his child, they have different problems they have to get through,especially charges of statutory rape and Mikayla's abusive father. Their pasts become unraveled before each other's eyes and some truths become unvealed that would have been better hidden. Will they ever be together?
