The Pain that Made Her Beautiful

Nayeli is a slave in an Ancient Roman town called Sarni and is content with her life, that is until a raiding party of Germanic tribesmen kidnap her and try to bring her back to Germania. She has mysterious amber eyes, long jet black hair, and a tongue that often gets her in trouble. But there's something about her that goes deeper than what it seems. Who is she really? Why is she where she is now? Is there more to life than just bitterness and sadness? Nayeli doesn't think so. She has seen a wold that is far from kind; however, her best friend and sister in all but blood, Neorah, believes there is a way out of this cycle of pain and suffering. Along the road, many characters are introduced, not all are who they might appear to be. The sickness of the human state is exposed by some; however, there is a prize, a victory, and a goal worth reaching.
