A Dangerous Love

The sound of a gunshot echoed in my ears. My hands slowly rose, pressing themselves against my stomach. Pain shot through me, just as the bullet had done. I looked down to see my shaking hands coated in my own blood. I cried out, falling harshly to the floor. My eyes began to flutter as I felt my consciousness begin to slip away from me.
