Pirates
Nicolette Thorpe grew up in the slums of east England. It was always Nicolette and her mother living together until her mother dies, leaving Nicolette alone to pay taxes and rent on the house. When she gets into a bit of trouble, she turns to a pirate ship to escape to. There's only one problem: Nicolette must disguise herself as a man, or she will be raped and killed by the crew of pirates. She tries her best to survive on the crew and learns the ropes quickly, even getting on the terrifying and evil captain's good side. She quickly rises in the ranks of the crew and is the right hand man to the captain. But when someone finds out her secret, her whole life is threatened unless she does as they bid her to do. When one task becomes too much, her life is in danger. Should she risk her life to help keep hidden that she's a woman, or should she simply leave like a coward, with no money to her name? And what happens when she happens to fall in love with one of the crew members, although she is technically a man in their eyes? Follow Nicolette's adventure on the seven seas and find out what treasures await her!
