Remade in Your Image is the story of a pleasurebot who escapes into the dangerous colony city of New Amsterdam, and of the man who tries to save her. But does she really want to be saved?
Think of Data in Star Trek TNG, or Kryton in Red Dwarf; there's a long history in SF of robots helped by humans to become more like human beings. Well, I thought, what if a robot does not want to be more like us? What if the robot *wants* to do something that we despise? What if they don't want to be remade in our image?
