Nate Baxter didn't want to be defined by his tattoo. Logan Waters always wanted to achieve something more than a football trophy. Alyson Pinner only dreamt of being pretty on the inside. Dakota Cross? She just wanted somebody to talk to.
It was supposed to be a simple social experiment. Four teenagers would spend a year together and live like the pioneers did, nothing more. However, after being pushed to their physical, mental, and emotional breaking points, they discover what truly makes a person strong. Follow them as they chase the American Dream, just like their ancestors did, and ultimately their own dreams as well.
