We Both Need to Wake Up

Summary: Essie, a young seventeen-year-old girl, has strange dreams. Dreams that she can make her own decisions in and that somehow affect her awake life. Some scientists call this Lucid Dreaming, but what Essie dreams in her fantasy world happens in her real world as well. In her dreams, Essie is a woman living in Europe in the 1830s. She is in love with a forbidden genre of music. A type of music that is considered “inappropriate” and “crude” by her society. At an underground club, Essie meets a band, unknown and unnamed, but their voices are captivating and they draw her in to their dangerous world of disobediance and rebellion. In the real world, Essie meets One Direction and becomes a part of their crazy celebrity life as two of the boys start to fall for her. As time continues, Essie can't keep track of which world is real, and of which boy she loves more: the version in her dreams or the version in her reality.
