Naomi’s last English language assignment of year 11 was to write a letter to someone who inspires you; dead or alive, famous or not. Most people in her class wrote them to parents or athletes, cancer survivors or in one case Nelson Mandela. Naomi chose to write to someone who helped her through a lot when she was 16. But what happens when two years later as she finishes college, she gets a reply from the letter that she never sent and as far as she was aware was still in the possession of her teacher?
