Resistance (Watty Awards 2012)
While working in his father’s laboratory, Andrew Alexander one of the top students of Cornell University, discovers something that he believes he is the first to find. After years of research and testing he realizes that there is a dormant bacterium in every form of medication. Every vaccine, treatment, pill and over the counter drug that has been given to man has begun to facilitate growing bacteria that no one can stop. He believes that within five years all humans will become resistant to every form of medication. With limited time before human extinction, Andrew struggles to find a solution.
