Mad World

When he came into our lives, we thought he was perfect. Charming, suave and devilishly handsome. When he began paying attention to me instead of my beautiful, popular best friend, it felt horribly surreal. But there was something much darker beneath the cool surface. What he promised was both terrifying and beautiful, both chaotic and seemingly incredible; for who could have ever believed a world beyond ours existed? *** Monet lives a life of boredom and repetition, in a town filled with nobodies trying to be somebodies. She is constantly overshadowed by her beautiful best friend, and overlooked by the majority of the student body at her high school. The only thing that doesn’t fall insipidly in her monotonous existence is a set of unexplainable dreams, all seeming to relate to one mysterious boy. When that boy appears at her school and claims to have known her for years, she begins to wonder if there’s something darker brewing beneath the surface, and if those dreams are imprints of another life. Follow Monet as she weaves through endless, twisted reveries that speak of another world, a reality she isn’t supposed to be a part of.
