Chance is just your average guy trying to get through high school without any drama arising. Of course, that plan goes awry when some girl convinces him to pretend to be her best friend...by paying him money.
She's not doing it for popularity, she's not doing it to get revenge, not to get the popular guy to fall for her. All she wants is for the bullying she endures to stop. And, feeling bad for her, Chance agrees to pretend to be her old best friend...
Now what could possibly be so wrong with that? Evidently the answer to that question is: everything.
