A romantically sad twist on Alfred Noyes, “The Highway man”. Sometime around 1810; A landlords black-eyed daughter; Elsbeth Black fell in love with Great Britain’s Notorious “Robin hood highwayman” a dashing rouge that sports all black, and defends the poor and plunders the rich. But to her he is just her darling Jeremy Williston. This story is about their complicated love and however great their love is, it can’t save everything.
