Is anyone doing July NaNo?

    I know some people are doing Camp NaNo from their homes or whatever, so if anyone wants to join me in trying to write 50,000 words in July, please message me! It's because school always makes me busy in November but in July this year I'm going to do it!

    I need a NaNoWriMo buddy!

    I'll do it with you!! I tried NaNo in November too, and failed epicly. Then again, I did sign up the day before it started, and had no idea whatsoever what I was going to write about. This is perfect too, because I've been wanting to rewrite one of my stories(=

    Yay! I will be messaging you later so we yell at each other to make sure we stick to it!

    Yeah, Nov. is just a bad month for me.

    Haha yes!1 That's exactly the kind of encouragement I need!! Me too. My birthday is at like the beginning of the month, so all I'm really focusing on is what I'm going to do for that and then there's homework and chores and babysitting and all that fun stuff AND I have to focus on writing a book in 30 days?? Yeah, no(=

    I don't have an idea for what I'd want to write about, but I really want to participate! Ugh. :( And I agree, November isn't a good month because of all the consuming schoolwork.

    I'll jump on the train, too! November.....ah, how can I begin to describe it? I wrote 32,700 words of a really terrible story in 4 days over Thanksgiving! And I never want to do it again! I just started a new story, and the Summer NaNoWriMo could be just what I need, if you guys will do it with me.

    YAY! This is awesome! I will message all of you now. We have to figure out how we should keep in contact - I guess we could just use this thread to encourage (a.k.a. yell at) each other to keep writing, and discuss how to get over writer's block. Unless any of you have a better idea about how to communicate?

    *raises hand* I AM!!!! My first time was last Nov. I completely agree. It's a bad month considering school. I skipped some classes at Uni to write. But I completed the goal and felt so mixed afterward.

    It seems all exciting in the beginning, but trust me, by the end you can't stand it.

    Anyway, my work will be part two of the sci-fi/fantasy that I started for Nano last year. Noor: The Return of the Princess.

    @throwingpeaches I haven't even started and I can't stand it either. *sigh*

    @Tatsuri Yeah, I wrote half a page and BAM! Writer's block... :(

    @throwingpeaches It's not even the writer's block part. Having a good muse/sound-board solves that easily. At least it did for me. It's more like, "do I really have to write this again. I'm tired of writing this."

    @tidalkid What's Camp NaNo? I'll do it too, though sometime this month I've got moving and stuff to deal with, plus I'm going to visit my uncle who's having major surgery. Hopefully I can bring my iPod and type on there.

    @Tatsuri That's my other problem. I just finished a story and now I don't want to start all over again. I'm just a brat that way I guess.

    @Rainbowoftears It's not good to have anything else to do when participating in nanowrimo. Trust me. Just wait until November.

    @Tatsuri Alright. I'll try then, if I'm not swamped with homework that is.

    @Rainbowoftears I found participating during school tough, but not as tough as moving and helping someone who just had surgery. I'm not sure if I'll complete it this time because I'll be gone for a week. Hopefully I can. The story is in detail in my head.

    YAY! Oh wow, it is awesome to see that so many other people are doing this. Well, today's July 1, and as expected, I've written 0 words so far. I have a question - do you guys think that all 50,000 words have to be in the same story, or can I write like 20,000 of one and 30,000 of another?

    Anyway, if you ever have writer's block or if you want to motivate me to write, PLEASE message me! I'd love to help you guys out and I personally need all the encouragement I can get!

    WE CAN DO THIS

    (and even if we can't, we will have a blast trying!!)

    @tikalkid I can't find anywhere in the NaNo rules where it says you cant, but at the beginning of the rules it does say you have to 'write one 50,000 word novel'.

    @Catsrock1023 Okay. Yeah, I doubt I will write 50,000 words of one novel though, because I'm working on multiple things and I can't bring myself to devote all my attention to one (it's like just asking for writer's block). I think I will just go for 50,000 words in total.

    I know, I'm a rule breaker.
