Chantal paced in her room a long while and lost track of time. She glanced out the window to find it was well into the night. The position of the moon told her it was around one in the morning. Hm... She went to the door and found it was unlocked. She slowly opened it and looked down the hallway

Suri sat on her bed, Staring out the window. This was insane. Why did they have to bring her back here to this place. She wanted to slap herself for thinking Xavier had changed. He let her get hurt. He was different now.

Chantal took a deep breath before she slipped out her room and knocked on Suri's door. This idea was crazy stupid. But it was the only idea she had.

Suri opened the door slowly at first. "What.?"

"...D'you want to get out of here...?" She asked her.

A little light of hope brightened Suri's face, but quickly faded away. "Hell yea."

"Well now is the time to try." Chantal said after a quick glance around. "Knowing Jerome, he's out doing some random girl in a bar. So the security is probably lacking."

Suri knew she could escape. She had done it plenty of times. But for some strange reason, all Suri could think about was Xavier. He didn't matter anymore. "Yea, We should. We should go now!"

Chantal nodded. "Alright." she said. "I think I know how to get out of here... he is very predictable. Come on." She went down the hallway, careful to step lightly. She was no longer wearing shoes and being a neko, she practically made no noise when walking. Her ears were perked and her tail twitching. She couldn't wait to get out of here.

She led Suri until she noticed an odd placed statue. =.= yep. She pushed it over and it fell on hinges. A button under it. She pressed the button and a bookcase moved. "So predictable, you are Jerome." She murmured to herself before slipping into the secret passageway made so the gang members could get a quick get away if ever raided by police.

Suri had lived here for a while. But she had never noticed most of these secret passage ways. She knew of some, but not these. Suri was good at walking quietly. It was her specialty. What made her a bandit. She wasn't sure if they would make it out alive, But she did know that they would be on to them very soon.

Chantal stopped walking as her sensitive ears picked up someone walking above the passageway. She wasn't going to take any chances of someone hearing them. Once the person walked past she continued until they found their way outside. They were maybe a half mile away from the house.

Suri stopped, "When do you think they will notice?"

"They probably already did." Chantal said to her, glancing over at the house.

She nodded and led them away. She had slipped her shoes back on, not wanting to be cut up on roots as they cut through a small bit of forest. Soon they were back in town. She looked around and smiled slightly. Finally....

Suri hadn't been out in a while. By out, I mean OUT OUT. She had been on missions but not actually out free. But then again they weren't actually free. They were more like .. "Runaways." Suri sighed.

Chantal looked at Suri. "Yeah. I'm used to being a runaway....do you need someplace to crash?"

"Alright." She said. "See ya then." She started to walk off. She owned two houses...okay, she lived in two houses. One with her father, and the other was a secret home that in case she was ever in trouble or needed to get away she could go to. Jerome didn't know where this one was, so it was a good thing right now to go there.

"I mean i do need somewhere to crash." Jerome knew everywhere she would and could hide. It was best to stick with this girl.

"Oh, sorry. Must have misheard you." She said. "You can come with me. I have a place Jerome doesn't know about." She looked over her shoulder at her.

[= w=] She led her to the house. It wasn't the most interesting house, but it wasn't the most run down either. She found the hide-a-key and opened the door. The inside was decorated by either someone with lots of fashion sense, or a gay guy. She led her in. "The kitchen is over there... There is a bathroom there and on the second floor." She showed her around. "It's not much...but it's safe." She said as she turned on some more lights. She didn't like having the dark of teh house.

Suri just looked around. How could she be with a damn cop. "Thanks." She nodded. "Where do i sleep?" Asked Suri. Not like she really was going to do any sleeping but it was worth a try.

Xavier barged into Suri's room when no one replied to his first few knocks. To his surprise she was gone. "No.." He muttered, Hurrying to Chantal's room she wasn't there either. Clay was leaning against the door. "So we have run aways." He smiled grimly, Thinking thoughts Xavier hoped he wouldn't say out loud. "You do know what that means.." Said Clay, sliding a blade from some hidden pocket in his jeans. "We have to go find them." He twisted the knife around.."Well, hunt them.."

Chantal showed Suri to a room. "You can sleep here if you want. There are extra blankets in the closet." She nodded a bit and let her be. She knew Suri did not like her. And she wasn't going to make her hate her worse, so she didn't say much. Chantal went downstairs and picked up a phone. She closed her eyes as she leaned against a wall and dialed a number. Pick up...Pick up... She cursed when nobody answered so she called again. On the third ring a tired voice answered. "Hello?" The voice asked. She smiled widely. "Dad." "Chantal!" The voice chirped up. "Where are you?" "The safe house...I was kidnapped by Jerome." "I swear when I see that man..." The voice growled. "I know, dad." she said. "Just hurry here...I think people are going to be searching for us now that we escaped." "'us'?" "Oh. Yeah. There is another here. She doesn't like cops though..." "Oh well, her fault. I'll be there as soon as I can." "Thank you." She whispered and hung up.
