My story is called The Chooser.

The Chooser takes place a long time ago and it's about a small village where the people there all have a weird "gift." They see the future deaths of people in their dreams. After they see the future in their dream of someone dying, they wake up and see a hooded, masked figure in their rooms who tells them to make a choice. They must tell him what they saw (who dies, and how) so he can fulfill their deaths (he is death itself, called The Chooser), and if they refuse, he will kill one of their loved ones instead (to keep the balance of the world--someone must die). The story is about Angela, who when she was 9 years old had a dream and she didn't understand it, but she was scared. When the Chooser came to her she wouldn't tell him what she saw because she was traumatized and so he killed her whole family. Now, ten years later she's secretly engaged to a nice wonderful gentleman (no one knows because everyone keeps secrets in this village. People don't want to get to know each other because you never know who will die next) and when she has a dream, she refuses to tell the Chooser, claiming he has nothing left to threaten her with since he took it all from her ten years ago. The Chooser tells her he'll kill her fiance and she gets scared so she tells him. The next night she dreams her fiance will die and to protect him she lies to the Chooser and tells him the name of another. This happens every night and she decides to try and stop the Chooser from killing these innocent people and she decides to try and kill the Chooser. It's a short story (incomplete) with a twisted ending, but I think you get the gist of it. :D

When a new boy is mixed up with it, Anastasia thinks she will have a mental break down. Who is telling the truth and will she find her true love?

Ideas: As long the girl has black hair, is really fine with me. But something dark and mysterious.
