@lafleurdeverite I'm also somewhat confused here.

@JohnHStyles I legitimately can't tell, but I'm leaning more towards serious.

    Unicorns? What do you smoke?

I do not smoke. I really do believe God made them.... you can call me insane and I won't deny it..... You gotta have a lil' insanity if you follow Christ ;-)

Well, I don't call this insanity. Worser.

I don't really see how the bible proofs anything. It's just a book. . @Gaelic_Melody

I don't agree with you saying that humans want to extinguish odd creatures, phenomena etc. I think humans are curious by nature, and we rather find out the truth, and not just rely on blind faith.

@TheLocalGuerilla You may call it whatever you please....

@BlueRev I believe that most people do not like oddities..... Because I am one of the "oddities" that have been attacked by Christians, Atheists and others of the like.

And If the bible doesn't prove anything then Creation, history, people's lives, and everything else does! I am at the edge right now, and this is all I will say on this convo....

@Gaelic_Melody I would call it severe brain damage, but I'll stick to my politeness this late evening.

And the Bible proves pretty much nothing.

@lafleurdeverite Such a disappointment. After all the time I spent on it. Ah, I'll just go ahead and follow - what did you call it? - Skyristianity and get it over with.

@Gaelic_Melody I read somewhere that, in the earliest manuscripts of the Bible, they used the word unicorn before it was translated to Old Bull or something of the sort.

@Gaelic_Melody I agree with you! The word 'dinosaur' was invented in the 1800s. So when the people from the Bible saw dinosaurs, what else would they call the dinosaurs? Unicorns must've been real too since God used them as an example of His majesty when he's talking to Job. The example would be useless if the unicorn was imaginary.

@Phillipia Oh, thank you! I was really feeling like an outcast! That, I couldn't be more mental! I also felt very foolish to believe in things like God.... thank you.... this one of the uplifts I had been searching for! It is very refreshing to see someone who believes what I do.... Thanks be to God for sending this blessing! :3

@Philipia People from the bible saw dinosaurs? Reminds me of Jurassic Park. All worship Ian Malcolm, true creator of the dinosaurs.

@TheLocalGuerilla Why couldn't people have seen dinosaurs? What proof is there against it?

  • lafleurdeverite

@Philipia Because dinos were extinct millions of years before humans existed.

@lafleurdeverite Well, can I be straight with you? How do you know that the dinosaurs were extinct millions of years before humans existed?

  • lafleurdeverite

@Philipia Carbon dating, fossil layers, etc.

  • Philipia

@lafleurdeverite Well, technically carbon dating is a somewhat flawed system of dating. People who perform carbon dating must assume that carbon levels have stayed the same for a long time and the truth is they haven't which distorts carbon-dating dates. And about the fossil record, most of it (95%) is made of shellfish, because they are easy to preserve. The other 5% is mostly plants. Out of that, a very small percentage are other types of animals. The scientists don't have a lot to go on for dinosaurs. But the idea of asking this question was to say that you can't always believe what people tell you. People sometimes tell us things that aren't necessarily facts. The difference between you and me is that you believe on faith that they're telling you the truth, while I believe on faith that the Bible is telling the truth. It basically boils down to what you want to believe in. :) That's my scoop! But I'm not really one for arguing with people. Just defending what I believe in! :)

@Philipia Well, you can believe what you want of course. A book that's thousands of years old and translated multiple times is bound to have some inaccuracies too though. ;)
