@fadinglight123 You're the best! Okay, the summary is: At first, the experts thought it was H1N1. But they were wrong. After half the world becomes infected, life becomes survive or die. Which, the only option is survive. Like any normal people, Brett and Melissa have no idea what to do in the middle of the zombie apocalypse. Their only chance to live is to get to the coast to the survival colony. Yeah...I don't even really have a summary. I've never written a sci-fi before. But the main point of the story is: Two teenagers trying to survive the zombie apocalypse, trying to get to the ship that goes to the survivor colony, and trying to hold on to one another. It's a sci-fi/thriller/romance/teen fiction. Can ya help me? :) |

@bookwormprincess Why not start right in the action? Grab your readers by the throat? Have the characters shotguning a few of em, scavanging for supplies. The mabye in the next chapter they meet a surrivor who tell them about the colony and the boat. They travel with them for abit, get betrayed and are left to get to the boat themselves. Blah blah blah adventure, scavenging shoot outs with other surrivors, killing zombies. |

I agree with starting off with an action scene. Nothing better than grabbing your readers attention. You need that initial hook, and with a zombie apocalypse story...that should be fairly easy to do once you know what you're going to write. I love zombie apocalypse stories. Feel free to private message me and I'd be glad to help you when I get time in between writing my novel and school. Good luck with the story! But please do not open the story with a summary of how the zombie apocalypse started. Big No No. It will make people yawn. |

Action scene,or one that's tragic or touching. It's gotta hit hard! Hi BKPrincess. I'm new to Wattpad. For years I told Sci-Fi stories but often its not enough. Most readers want a human story with people dealing with Sci-Fi themes etc. Such a scene would allow readers to connect with the characters early on. Like Brett or Melissa losing another loved one in the opening scene to a zombie bite or something. Louis. @bookwormprincess |

Are you sure that's going to be sci-fi? Sounds like horror to me :-) |

@GenXblogger Yes, it would be considered horror too. It can fall under many categories, depending on what she throws into the plot. Horror/Thriller, Paranormal/Science Fiction, Romance/Contemporary Romance, etc. :) |
