Now a powerful Guardian of Mustikos, Verity has finally found a place she can call home. It doesn't matter to her that her past is a blur, she only believes in the present and future. That is, until the day she and Neela saves Portica. Suddenly branded a traitor, she escapes into the human world with her friends to find the truth about her past. To make things more complicated, she manages to catch the eye of a human boy and it causes friction between her and her complicated relationship with the Dragon Knight, Kier. Racing against time to prove her innocence, Verity has to decide if she should just stay in the human world forever, or if she wants to go back to Mustikos with Kier. If she chooses Mustikos, she'll be forced to face her past to understand how it will her future and present. Who says the past doesn't come back to haunt you.
