Getting off an island for Dummies, Twilight--to burn for heat/fuel (@RaeF1994, you are a genius) Percy Jackson and the Olympians: the Lightning Thief The Bible (still a genius) And a book I've never read before. Preferably a really long book, and not one in a series. |

Burning Twilight for heat? Do you know how badly that would smell? Walden, because I'd like to pretend I'm in a completely different environment. My English textbook from first semester. The only thing I read all the way through for that class was King Lear. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare <3 I haven't re-read the fourth Harry Potter book. I kept losing track of what was going on the first time I tried. Hm...The Completely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian for laughs. That or Calvin & Hobbes. |

Inkheart, Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire (my favorite of the series), A Sherlock Holmes omnibus of some sort, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and The Tale of Despereux (spelling is probably wrong). And I'm so living on this island from now on. No neighbors! |

1. Walden by Henry David Thoreau - because everytime I read it I find something new 2. Pride and Prejudice - Darcy and Elizabeth will easily distract me from the horrible predicament of being trapped on an island 3. October Sky by Homer Hickam - who doesn't like a true story about kids building rockets? 4. The Silmarillion - I've never finished reading it so this would be the perfect time! 5. Doctor Zhivago by Boris Pastenak - I will spend my remaining days rewriting this wonderful classic so Yuri and Lara can be together. |

Dracula by Bram Stoker Catch-22 by Joseph Heller Bone by Jeff Smith The Complete Calvin & Hobbes by Bill Watterson. (I don't care that that's three books, I will fuse them together if I have to. :P) I agree with bringing Twilight to burn for heat. |

That wasn't a fair answer, but it's a true one. But for the sake of the exercise: The Portable Milton, Complete Works of Shakespeare, The New Yorker Cartoon Album, The Game of Kings by Dorothy Dunnett, The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas pere (translation by Robin Buss). |

I would bring one book full of folk tales all over the world, The Adventures of Mr.Hyde and Jeckel, Holy bible, A diary, and probably a book on how to get off the island. ( Couldn't think of any other reading books at the moment). |
