So in the trailer, like, when it count downs, they are running into a forest.....I thought they were supposed to kill each other. Why don't they just kill each other without running wherever they were running lol. Where were they running anyway?:P Random, I know but just curious. |

@perfectrain Some tributes run and hide rather then killing because this is their stratergy. Also, at the very beginning, there are supplies that they can run to get--that is where Katniss and Peeta are running. |

@perfectrain That's what the careers--AKA the awesome ones--do. It's called the 'bloodbath' |

@TrivStar so what would you do? I'd grab what I could and get the hell out; the longer I survive the fewer people there are around to try and kill me! :) |

They have to find shelter, food and water etc. The key is staying alive as long as possible. @perfectrain |

Usually until there is only one person left alive, but for the book/film half way through, the rules change two people from the same areas are allowed to break free together. @perfectrain |

@AmethystJ oh and thats why gale and katniss fell in love?due to that rule. otherwise they both would have had to kill each otherl ol |

Ahaha actually Gale doesn't go, it's Peeta that goes with Katniss, and no I don't think so, Peeta states that he fell in love with Katniss when they were around 5 years old. @perfectrain |

@perfectrain But I do think the rule was made due to Peeta and Katniss putting on a good 'act' of love, so all of the people wanted them to win together and not rip each other apart. |

@AmethystJ ohlol well..haha i find it clever how he gave her bread and peeta is a type of bread. lol maybe im stating the obvious but yeah.... soooo @RobotsWillCry @AmethystJ you guys like the last book? will you watch the last movie? alot of hg fans i talked to said the deaths made no sense and they felt it was rushed and hated it. but that could be they can't take a dose of reality lol |

@perfectrain I won't watch the films at all; I just don't like films. I think the last book was good but the second was rushed and awkward, like she'd got the third book planned but was stuck on how to get there. I liked the realism (relatively) in the last book, what with who she kills off etc. They were a bit sudden but that's probably the point! |

@perfectrain no! haha if I had to I'd be team Gale, but tbh that's a load of crap as far as I'm concerned. It just seems pretty pathetic; fans of a book shouldn't divide themselves like that. Why didn't you like the books? :) |

@perfectrain yeah they seem pretty awesome. like I said I'm not going to watch them, but I might if they come out on DVD. The CGI looks impressive and I'm amazed they kept it only to a 12A |

Hmm, I'll probably see the movie sometime soon, but first I want to see a review. I'm a bit dissapointed with the casting, but it looks like it'll actually be a good adaptation (they're actually shedding some more backstory in the movie that you couldn't see in the book too.) I don't want to go to the midnight premiere, because while I can function on not a lot of sleep, I don't want to stay up, be dissapointed, and botch a test the next day from being tired. I'll probably go the week after. What I'm curious about is how much they'll tone down stuff in the coming movies (Cato's death in the end is pretty gory, and the 3rd book features A LOT of bloody moments with dismemberment and whatnot. They'll probably have him be ripped apart by the mutant tribute wolves off camera.) And yeah, If I were in the Hunger Games I'd probably run like hell and get whatever I could without being shanked or stabbed. And then I'd probably hide and dispose of the tributes nonlethally and make them my hostages. I would bound and gag them to high places like trees! So they'll slowly starve! Meh, I guess an arrow to the skull would be more humane. I wonder why they don't have guns in The Arena. Probably because it would be too fast and easy. Although they could just give em a crappy .22 with just a few rounds, just sayin... |

@GrandmasterSuz98 yeah, toning stuff down is a huge problem, like, they've just cut it again to make it a 12A rating. If they keep doing the deaths off scene and stuff, it'll only ruin the film though; yeah, one or two of the more gory ones would make sense, but any more than that and it'd seem pointless. Hostages is a good idea! Would that count as your kill if they starved to death? I think no guns for that precise reason; even with a crappy gun a good shot would still kill instantly. Though I suppose the same can be said for other projectile weapons, like bows and arrows etc. Besides, it's more entertainment with old-style weapons; remember that the whole thing is basically one big reality t-v show! |
