Any GOOD adventure stories out there???

Perhaps this would be of interest... Its adventure set in a almost realistic world along the lines of paranormal and thriller :) the adventure part comes a bit later as the plot develops ;)

In a month's time, Kimura will be heading off to his exchange program overseas, leaving his home in Yokohama. One outing with his friends changed everything. As the cogs and gears of the Cosmo Clock Ferris wheel turned, so did the fate of Kimura, his friends and the young population of modern Japan. Suicide followed one after another, like a plague and with the advent of a rebellious youth organization, Kimura finds himself caught up in the chaos. Little that he knows, he will learn the truth about himself and his past.

This is a fraction of my memory during my days in Japan. I am truly grateful for that experience and would love to share it with the world :) The story is based on true locations while I was there and dare I say true people and places, however the story is pure fiction, though it was something that sparked when I was there. Well, I hope mine isn't that cliche. But I only have one short chapter so far and the adventure isn't really going to come for another couple of chapters. But if you read the short description, maybe you'll be interested? -

It’s only when she stumbles across a secret room that she finds out about why only her and a handful others have been taken back to what she used to consider a prison – and they’ve been deceived for the last four years of their lives.

... I know it sounds a little cliche with the schoolgirl part, but the part about being decieved in the later chapters when I have written them will hopefully clear all of that up. The description was originally longer to not make it seem too cliche, but it kind of gave up the plot. And I can not except having to be away from my sister.

I've started a new adventure story, and could definitely use some feedback. My story certainly will not be involving any high school teenagers or anything, as you say. I usually write horror, and plan to incorporate that into the story later. It's about a demon hunter and his young student who take on a dangerous mission together.

Elanil just wanted one thing her whole life. She trained since she could walk and studied since she could read her name. When she finally reached the minimum age she could enter, she took the chance. She wanted to become an Archer for the League of Knights. She wanted to fight in the war and feel the adrenaline, feel the pleasure of winning a battle, or coming home safely with comrades.

‘“There are no women allowed in battle, as stated by The League.” He said then stood up swiftly with unnatural grace and exited through a door behind him.' It felt as though water has just been thrown in her face from the shock and she felt the horrible feeling that tore at her heart. She stormed out of the room, through the training centre and down the long stone hallways of the Castle.’

But when a Knight shot her down saying there are no women allowed in battle, Elanil is determined to prove that the League is wrong and women can fight in battles. So she goes on a quest, a quest to show that women are equals.
